We have an excellent career opportunity for a Warehouse Store & Logistics Manager to join a leading Company located in Lee County / Opelika, AL area.


This role is responsible for total warehouse/site/branch performance in accordance with company policy and procedures. Create and execute the site business plan. Ensure site profitability and manage and develop branch personnel. Plan, implement, and manage areas of responsibility to facilitate continuous improvement and personal growth while supporting company goals, missions, and vision. Provide sound leadership for the branch.


Responsibilities:

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT:

  • Direct warehouse operations.
  • Maintain necessary inventory levels, order materials, route deliveries, and pickups.
  • Maintain site security, including opening and closing of site.
  • Manage workflow to assist staff in balancing priorities, providing backup support if needed, and otherwise ensuring that all work is accomplished with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and adjustments
  • Help plan/maintain facility layout to promote safety, security, and productivity while leveraging available space.
  • Ensure the facility is maintained in a neat and professional manner.


EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT:

  • Assigns and directs all work performed in the branch and supervises all areas of operation in accordance with established company policies/procedures, objectives, and applicable laws.
  • Create a culture and team that works together to meet customer needs and achieve results.
  • Evaluate the performance of branch personnel and develop goals and objectives.
  • Promote an environment of empowerment, respect, and trust while holding team members accountable for their actions.


SALES & ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT:

  • Work with team, customers, and suppliers to solve challenges and leverage growth opps.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, building a favorable company image.
  • Successfully resolve problems and complaints as they arise.
  • Direct, coordinate counter (over-the-counter) efforts. Provide customer assistance
  • Assist in account development. Penetrate targeted accounts, radiate sales within client base.
  • Overcome objections of prospective customers.
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for gross profit growth.
  • Manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.
  • Use marketing data where applicable for sales management software tools to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Continuously update product knowledge.
  • Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability.
  • Understand product applications and help customers in their selections.


Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Fork Truck Certified.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
