Step into a rewarding opportunity working with a dedicated group of young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis. Conveniently located near Newark, this position supports students aged 3–8, mainly preschoolers, in a nurturing school environment. The assignment covers a maternity leave from September 8 through October 20, with the possibility of extension based on return dates.

You’ll enjoy a manageable caseload of about 25 students, primarily preschoolers, and have the chance to make a meaningful impact with those in self-contained programs, including students with multiple disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and preschool disabilities. Work Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., giving you dedicated hours to focus on student progress while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

What you bring:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric, school-based speech therapy
  • Comfort working with preschoolers and students with disabilities, including ASD
  • Ability to collaborate with other staff and engage with families
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities

Your role will include:

  • Assessing and providing targeted speech-language services to a diverse student population
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Documenting progress and maintaining student records
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings
  • Supporting students’ communication goals in both one-on-one and group settings

Enjoy a supportive educational setting with competitive weekly compensation and the flexibility to explore either part-time or full-time options depending on availability.

If you are passionate about making a difference for young learners and meet these qualifications, apply today to take your next step in a valued contract position working with an exceptional student community!

Compensation for this position ranges from $42.13 to $72.13. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
