Job DescriptionJob Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Endocrinology ClinicJob Summary
The LPN supports providers in an endocrinology clinic by delivering patient-focused care. This role includes both clinical and administrative duties, such as taking vitals, updating medications, assisting with exams, and helping patients manage chronic conditions like diabetes and thyroid disorders.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and take vital signs, weight, and blood sugar readings
- Update medications and patient history in the EMR
- Assist with lab tests, exams, and procedures
- Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and testing
- Communicate with patients by phone or portal to review care plans and answer questions
- Document all patient care accurately in the EMR
- Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and organized
- Follow safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines
- Work closely with providers and staff to ensure smooth clinic flow
- Support patient education and reinforce care plans
Required Skills
- Active LPN license (per state requirements)
- Experience taking vitals and performing patient intake
- Knowledge of medication reconciliation and EMR documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in endocrinology or a specialty clinic
- Knowledge of chronic conditions like diabetes and thyroid disorders
- Comfortable educating and coaching patients
- Strong organization and multitasking skills
- Basic computer and EMR experience
Work Environment & Schedule
This is an outpatient clinic role with direct patient interaction, combining clinical and administrative tasks.
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AML

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.
