Lola’s Taco Bar is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team at our Grosse Pointe Woods location. This role is key to keeping service smooth by ensuring fresh, consistent prep every day.
Job Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Prep ingredients including chopping produce, portioning proteins, and making salsas, sauces, and garnishes </li>
<li>Follow recipes, prep lists, and portion standards to ensure consistency </li>
<li>Assist with receiving, labeling, and rotating inventory (FIFO) </li>
<li>Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe prep and BOH area </li>
<li>Support line cooks and kitchen team during service as needed </li>
<li>Follow all health department and food safety guidelines </li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Prior prep cook or kitchen experience preferred </li>
<li>Strong knife skills and attention to detail </li>
<li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment </li>
<li>Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented </li>
<li>Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs </li>
