Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time opportunity is available for experienced School Psychologists to support K-5 elementary students within a Tennessee school district. This contract position offers meaningful work in a dynamic K-12 educational environment, focusing on comprehensive psychological services that directly impact student success.
Location: Soddy Daisy, TN (Chattanooga Area)
Duration: Contract through 5/21/2026 (school year)
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, onsite only (no remote or hybrid options)
Caseload: Primarily elementary students (K-5) with potential assignments varying across multiple schools within the district
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations tailored to student needs
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Design behavior intervention plans based on assessment data
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Travel to various schools within the district as necessary
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist required
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5)
- Strong understanding of special education laws, evaluation procedures, and behavioral assessment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively participate in multidisciplinary teams
