Job Description

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring that tools, equipment, and parts are properly tracked within the facility. This position supports operations by helping to streamline ordering, receiving, and distribution processes while maintaining a clean and organized storage area.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the company’s system (Sirius e).
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for customer orders and internal needs.
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and log into the system.
  • Ensure all items are properly labeled and stored in their designated locations.
  • Work with purchasing and inside sales to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Prepare and issue inventory reports as needed.
  • Assist with pulling and staging tools for orders and returns.
  • Support warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and report recommendations for disposition.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Competent in the use of SAP and other types of software.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Inventory experience is a plus
  • Experience with data entry
  • Warehouse experience is a plus


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.


The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


WORKING CONDITIONS


The working conditions described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while

performing the principal duties and responsibilities of the job. The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing area which, under certain conditions, requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. The temperature of the primary work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining. Industrial lighting provided.
