Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a school-based speech-language pathology opportunity beginning July 27, 2026, and continuing through June 4, 2027. This full-time, contract role offers a chance to make meaningful connections with students while contributing your clinical expertise in a supportive educational setting. Your days will be filled with diverse, impactful work, from screening and assessment to hands-on intervention and advisement, collaborating with other educational professionals.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Must possess a G License from the NC Department of Public Instruction
  • License from the Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Compassion and patience when working with students of varied backgrounds and abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive screening, evaluation, and diagnosis of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and oversee individualized plans for students, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student success
  • Offer expert guidance and advice on communication strategies and interventions for teachers and caregivers
  • Maintain all required documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment, advocating for students’ communication needs
