The Manufacturing Team Leader plays a pivotal role by driving the production process forward while adhering to standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety. This role is instrumental in developing a high-performing work team through continuous coaching and guidance.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAILY

  • The Manufacturing Team Leader supervises team members, leading them in executing manufacturing processes.
  • Offering solutions to problems, you serve as the manufacturing team’s anchor.
  • Essential leadership duties encompass:
  • Confirm team actions align with safety and cleanliness norms.
  • Ensure peak production alongside top-notch quality.
  • Task assignment to achieve cost-effective and optimal use of team skills.
  • Supply of necessary tools and materials for task efficiency.
  • Team evaluation through training, guidance, and feedback.
  • Facilitate team initiatives toward persistent advancement.
  • Maintain records documenting area performance metrics.
  • Evaluate product processes to determine optimal manufacturing protocols.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to refine manufacturing elements.
  • Continuously optimize operations for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Audit and refine existing standards for improved data accuracy.
  • Ensure product and process quality meets stringent criteria.
  • Promote awareness of process instructions, standards, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate quality-impacting issues and enforce corrective measures.
  • Modify machines, processes, and materials as needed.
  • Implement inspection strategies advancing product quality.
  • Investigate and rectify product defects through standard revisions.
  • Support material management in raw material procurement and supplier qualification.
  • Contribute strategically to manufacturing planning.
  • Handle additional assignments as they arise.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum one year of experience in manufacturing management or production.

IDEAL CANDIDATES BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or a comparable discipline.
  • Experience with Team Coordination Assessment.
  • Certifications in Lean/Six Sigma or Project Management.
  • Proficiency in Lotus Notes E-mail & JDE preferred within three months.
  • Completion of Team and Continuous Improvement Training is obligatory.
  • Capabilities in planning, organizing project milestones.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical support skills in a live production setting.
  • Understanding of CFM, Pull Systems, Kaizen, Poka-yoke, Lean Manufacturing, and related systems.
