We are seeking Clerical Support Operators to join our team! This is a summer job helping the state and federal wildfire teams manage documentation for larger wildfires. It is called a Clerical Support Unit Operator and it involves closely working with the Incident Management Team with any printing and signage needs. This involves printing maps and plans for the team and firefighters. You must have a vehicle, as we cover Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona and New Mexico. We work in air-conditioned trailers. Work is as needed and usually is between 40 and 80 hours per week with time off between assignments.

You must enjoy camping and have comfortable camping equipment - tent, sleeping bag, pad/cot, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire maps and plans by downloading, scanning or via jump drives
  • Print maps on wide format printers
  • Print plans on copiers
  • Copy documentation
  • Design and print signage
  • Log work
  • Perform other office tasks such as lamination and binding

Qualifications:

  • Professional attitude
  • Confident with computers and printers
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work as a team and individually
  • Must have a vehicle and a good driving record
