Job DescriptionIndustrial Equipment Reliability Technician

Based at our Woodridge, IL 60517 facility, you’ll be the go-to problem solver who keeps high-speed manufacturing lines running smoothly. Picture your day starting on a steady Monday–Friday daytime schedule, with occasional weekend support when production needs it. From diagnosing a finicky VFD to fine-tuning a blow molding line for a faster changeover, you’ll blend electrical savvy with mechanical know-how to maximize uptime.

What you’ll tackle

  • Keep core assets in top shape: blow molding machines, conveyor systems, palletizers, industrial robots, high-speed fillers and packaging systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on industrial equipment and automation systems.
  • Pinpoint issues on high-speed filling and packaging equipment and return them to service quickly.
  • Support production as needed, including operating machinery, covering breaks/lunches, and leading or assisting with line changeovers.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical equipment: fillers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and water purification/filtration systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the speed and accuracy of product changeovers and in preventive maintenance execution.
  • Install, commission, and troubleshoot production equipment.
  • Follow all company policies and work rules, including housekeeping, GMP, PPE requirements, SAP PM usage, and quality systems.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of line improvements.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Tools and systems you’ll work with

  • Industrial automation equipment and controls
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • PLC troubleshooting environments

What you bring

  • Hands-on experience with blow molding machines, conveyors, industrial robots, palletizers, and VFDs.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid mechanical troubleshooting capability.
  • Ability to diagnose issues on industrial automation equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting techniques.
