Labor Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator who's responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery, preparing work orders, inspecting finished parts, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role includes hands-on work, kitting materials, and performing basic maintenance on equipment.
Pay Rate: $18 and up (DOE)
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare work orders by kitting raw materials, including cutting to required lengths and dimensions.
- Operate production machinery according to prints and specifications.
- Produce parts within established quantity, quality, and tolerance standards.
- Inspect finished parts using precision tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain logs and records of production, including rejected or discarded units.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure proper equipment setup.
- Support production needs by maintaining correct part quantities and performing repetitive material supply tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Participate in continuous learning and skill development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills in English.
- Manual dexterity and ability to operate machinery and computers.
- General computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machines.
- Knowledge of Lean Principles preferred.
- Machine Operator I: Basic machine operation, maintenance, and kitting.
- Machine Operator II: Ability to train others, operate advanced equipment, and read detailed manufacturing instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Regular lifting of 25–50 lbs; occasional team lifts of 50 lbs or more.
- Good visual acuity for reading instructions and inspecting parts.
Education/Training:
- Experience operating machinery, reading instructions, and following safety protocols.
- Visual, verbal, and written instruction comprehension.
