Director of Construction – Commercial & Multifamily Projects

💰 $150,000 – $180,000 + Benefits + Performance Bonus (DOE)
My client, a well-established and rapidly growing General Contractor based in Indiana, is seeking an experienced Director of Construction to lead their field operations across multiple commercial and multifamily projects throughout the region.

You’ll play a key role in overseeing construction strategy, mentoring project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all construction operations across commercial and multifamily developments.
- Manage and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and project objectives.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and client relationships to ensure successful delivery and profitability.
- Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams to develop accurate cost models, schedules, and resource plans.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all active job sites.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and local partners to ensure long-term success and repeat business.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial or multifamily construction.
- Proven leadership background managing large teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of ground-up construction, preconstruction, and project delivery methods.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel across Indiana as required for project oversight.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (not essential).
