Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position offers the opportunity to support students across PreK through high school in a dynamic K-12 school environment located in Aurora, CO. The role involves leave coverage from early April to late May with full-time hours during this period. The position is itinerant, providing therapy services across six different sites and supporting approximately 55 students with physical and multiple disabilities, ranging from mild to severe needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services to students from PreK to high school
  • Manage caseload across multiple school sites, ensuring consistent and effective therapy interventions
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Utilize pediatric mobility equipment appropriately to meet students therapeutic needs
  • Provide Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) support at the three largest schools within the district

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification required
  • Prior experience working in Colorado schools preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in IEP development and implementation
  • Familiarity with pediatric mobility equipment and therapy techniques
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a diverse caseload across multiple locations
