Job Description
The Safety & Compliance Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting our Safety and Compliance Department through effective data management, regulatory tracking, and project coordination. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely fuel tax (IFTA) reporting, mileage tracking, drug testing program coordination, electronic log compliance, and supporting safety-related initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and excels at working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Maintain and track mileage and fuel data for IFTA and IRP reporting

Ensure timely and accurate data entry in McLeod, Samsara, and Tenstreet systems

Support the administration of the Drug & Alcohol Testing Consortium

Monitor ELD compliance and generate reports from Samsara

Assist with safety events, driver training coordination, and safety communication

Track and manage safety supplies and inventory
-
Support safety team initiatives and projects from planning to execution

Help ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and internal policies

Communicate effectively with team members and drivers to resolve issues

Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records

Display empathy, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset in all interactions

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Experience with McLeod, Samsara, and Tenstreet strongly preferred

Understanding of FMCSA regulations and transportation safety compliance

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

High level of accuracy and accountability in data tracking

Kind, empathetic, and collaborative attitude

Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

Previous experience with IFTA reporting and electronic log systems is a plus
