Job description:
The role as Sous Chef is directly responsible for planning and managing food preparation. You will be the assistant to the Executive Chef, providing a range of duties including planning menus, training new staff, and helping with cost controls and Inventories.
***MEXICAN CUISINE EXPERIENCE A MUST***
Compensation: $70k + plus (Depending on Experience)
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work well with Executive Chef and General Manager on all aspects of Operations with great communication skills.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Direct oversight of day-to-day Kitchen operations, organizing and supervising, including executing companywide shared standards and striving for a genuine guest experience and guest satisfaction.
Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Ensure the Kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
Delivering superior food maximizing customer satisfaction.
Maintain patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food.
Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
Manage and train kitchen staff.
Order supplies to stack inventory appropriately.
Rectify arising problems and complaints from staff.
Perform administrative duties.
Maintaining labor under control.
Maintain a safe, secure, procedures andty environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, and complying with healthy and legal regulations.
