This position is for a MIG Welder in a manufacturing company located in South Bend. The role involves welding various components for structures, including floors and side panels, as well as different beams and channels.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding on different components such as floors and side panels.
- Weld different beams like I-beams and channels.
- Retrieve materials using an overhead crane from the designated location.
- Follow blueprints to fit materials in the appropriate location.
- Execute TAC MIG welds to secure materials in place.
Essential Skills
- 5 years of experience in MIG welding on steel.
- Experience with TAC welding on steel.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in reading a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
- Must own a weld helmet and steel toe shoes.
- Capability to pass a basic weld test on a butt-joint weld.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
