Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

RPh on the Go is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13+ week contract assignment at a hospital in Iowa, covering a maternity leave. This role primarily supports inpatient services, with occasional assistance in the retail pharmacy. Ideal for pharmacists who are adaptable and eager to contribute to a collaborative healthcare setting. Local and travel candidates are welcome.

Assignment:
13+ week contract
Start Date: Mid-October (includes training period)

Facility Type:
Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy with occasional Retail Support

Schedule:
Monday Friday
7:30 AM 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
May require 1 weekend/month

Key Responsibilities:

Check chemotherapy and other compounded preparations
Verify orders through the electronic health record system
Review technician Pyxis fills
Participate in inpatient rounds and daily huddles
Run audit reports and support anticoagulation clinic
Provide retail pharmacy support as needed

Requirements:

Active and clear Iowa Pharmacist license
Comfortable overseeing chemotherapy preparation
Willingness to float between inpatient and retail pharmacy settings
Chemo compounding experience is a plus
