We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our Banquet and Catering team at Midland Country Club. In this role, you will assist in providing top-tier service to our club members in banquet and catering settings, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and attentiveness while contributing to an exceptional recreational experience for our members.


Overview

The ideal candidate will assume a crucial role in the support of our banquet and catering operations, ensuring the seamless and efficient execution of events. This position necessitates robust leadership capabilities, high attention to detail, and effective collaboration with diverse teams. The Banquet Manager will be tasked with a range of responsibilities that are integral to the overall success of our catering services. Responsibilities

  • The Banquet Manager will be responsible for training, motivating, disciplining, directing, and supervising the work of employees in the Banquet Department.
  • Develop and maintain training programs to ensure a high degree of professionalism within the staff.
  • Schedule employees to uphold the service standards of Midland Country Club (MCC) while adhering to budgeted labor cost guidelines.
  • Ensure the proper care, security, and maintenance of club equipment through appropriate supervision of service personnel.


Qualifications

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with confidence.
  • Outstanding English verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Keen attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in banquet and catering services is essential.
  • Experienced in all aspects of banquet service.
  • Proven experience of 2-3 years as an assistant banquet manager.
  • Demonstrated creativity in designing and implementing engaging "creative breaks" or interactive activities during banquets or conferences.
  • Excellent motivational skills.
  • Strong leadership and training abilities.
