Job Description
We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for setting up Mill-turn machines, checking parts, coaching other machinists, and performing some programming at the machine. This is a direct placement opportunity available for the night shift or weekend days. Successful candidates will demonstrate low scrap rates and a comprehensive understanding of various CNC control systems.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Mill-turn machines.
- Check parts for accuracy and quality.
- Coach and mentor other machinists.
- Perform programming tasks directly at the machine.
- Maintain low scrap rates.
- Understand and utilize different CNC control systems.
Essential Skills
- Experience with Mill-Turn machinery.
- Proficient in machining, programming, and operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Use of micrometers, calipers, and other hand-held measuring tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of programming at the controller.
- Proficient knowledge of CMM, VCMM, and GD&T.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SPC.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $113100.00/yr.
