Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for setting up Mill-turn machines, checking parts, coaching other machinists, and performing some programming at the machine. This is a direct placement opportunity available for the night shift or weekend days. Successful candidates will demonstrate low scrap rates and a comprehensive understanding of various CNC control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Mill-turn machines.
  • Check parts for accuracy and quality.
  • Coach and mentor other machinists.
  • Perform programming tasks directly at the machine.
  • Maintain low scrap rates.
  • Understand and utilize different CNC control systems.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with Mill-Turn machinery.
  • Proficient in machining, programming, and operating CNC mills and lathes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Use of micrometers, calipers, and other hand-held measuring tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming at the controller.
  • Proficient knowledge of CMM, VCMM, and GD&T.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SPC.

  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $113100.00/yr.
