THE POSITION
Drawing on their expertise in sales, account management and team leadership, the Sales Manager will motivate our team to achieve revenue and gross profit targets. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and executing sales strategies, analyzing performance data, coaching and training sales representatives and developing and advancing adoption of sales related best practices.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coaching and motivating sales representatives to achieve individual and team performance goals.
· Developing and executing effective sales strategies to drive revenue and achieve company objectives.
· Sets clear sales targets to measure performance and guide the team’s effort.
· Establishes and tracks KPI’s identifying trends and areas in need of improvement.
· Leads weekly sales meetings.
· Assists with the development of weekly and monthly sales promotions.
· Builds and maintains strong relationships with key customers to foster loyalty and drive repeat business.
· Reports market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to maintain our competitive edge.
· Works closely with marketing, product development and other departments to coordinate promotional campaigns.
· Forecasts and reports weekly and monthly sales totals.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Proven track record in sales and sales management preferably in the musical instruments industry.
· Prior experience managing international dealers and distributors in the musical instruments industry would be a plus.
· Previous experience building and modifying guitars, basses, mandolins, or banjos strongly preferred.
· Order entry and sales reporting experience. Prior NetSuite experience preferred.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel highly preferred.
· Attention to detail, obvious enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
INDIVIDUAL REQUIREMENTS
· Self-starter. Self-motivated. Driven to succeed.
· Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship
· Able to work onsite at our Houston office.
· Must pass a background check.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base pay is based on experience and market rates for the position
- Bonus pay potential for hitting key metrics
- United Healthcare Insurance plan available after 60 days probationary period

- 401(k) with a 4% match available after one year of employment, starting in January or July following the employee's anniversary
- Holidays are paid by company (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following day, Christmas Day and the following day)
- Paid vacation after 90-day probationary period per year
