Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact supporting middle school students with this contract opportunity as a 1:1 Paraprofessional. In this role, you'll work full-time alongside a student within a specialized LINKS program, assisting with both academic tasks and essential personal care throughout the school day. The assignment runs through June 25, 2026.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver dedicated, individualized support to help a student succeed in both educational and personal care needs
- Aid with toileting and hygiene tasks, such as dressing/undressing, diaper changing, and providing assistance with wiping
- Promote the student’s engagement, safety, and participation within the classroom environment
- Provide general support to classroom activities and reinforce behavioral guidelines
- Collaborate closely with educators to adapt support as student needs evolve
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a school-based paraprofessional
- Confident and compassionate when assisting with personal care tasks
- Additionally, you must have ONE of the following:
• Associate’s degree
• Minimum 48 college credits
• Passing score on ParaPro or WorkKeys assessment
Additional Details:
- Contract position, full-time (35–37.5 hours/week)
- Start as soon as possible; assignment continues through late June 2026
- Interview process is brief and virtual (Microsoft Teams, 15–30 minutes)
