About Internexus Los Angeles Internexus Los Angeles is an accredited, SEVP-approved language school expanding into Allied Health and Nursing education. Immediate plans include launching a focused licensure test-preparation program (NCLEX and related exams) to support aspiring nurses and allied health professionals in passing their required licensure and certification tests. Reports to Director of Academic Programs / Campus Director

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Doctor (MD) with demonstrated teaching skills to design, lead, and deliver an medical licensure-focused test-preparation programs courses and to help develop nursing and allied health certification programs.

The lead faculty will develop curriculum and assessment materials, teach classroom and review sessions, assist in hiring additional instructors, advise and mentor students, and collaborate with clinical partners. Exceptional candidates with strong teaching experience and established relationships with area health care facilities may be considered for an equity stake in the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Immediately: Design and implement a comprehensive NCLEX test-prep curriculum aligned with current NCLEX test blueprints and best practices.
  • Develop parallel preparatory courses for related allied health licensure and certification exams (as needed).
  • Midterm: Assist in establishing licensure and certification programs in nursing and allied health.

Duties Include:

  • Prepare lesson plans, practice question bank, case studies, simulations, and assessment tools.
  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based classroom instruction, workshops, review boot camps, and virtual sessions.
  • Administer and review practice exams, analyze results, and provide individualized remediation plans.
  • Mentor and coach students on test-taking strategies, critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and stress management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NCLEX/test changes, exam trends, and relevant clinical standards.
  • Coordinate with academic and student services teams to track student progress, retention, and outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local hospitals, clinics, and allied health employers for advisory input, guest speakers, and transition-to-practice opportunities.
  • Collect and analyze program data (pass rates, satisfaction, learning outcomes) and prepare reports for accreditation and institutional review.
  • Ensure program compliance with accreditation and SEVP requirements and assist with documentation as needed.
  • Contribute to recruiting, hiring, and training additional instructors and adjunct faculty as the program grows.

Qualifications Required

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license OR Medical Doctor (MD) license in good standing (CA license preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in long term health care facilities..
  • Demonstrated experience teaching or tutoring nursing or allied health students (classroom, clinical instruction, or exam prep).
  • Strong knowledge of NCLEX-RN/PN test blueprints, question formats, and current testing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with educational technology (LMS, virtual classroom platforms, exam simulation software).
  • Commitment to student-centered, culturally responsive instruction and equity-minded practices.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, or related field (or MD with teaching experience).
  • Experience developing curricula.
  • Prior experience leading NCLEX or licensure test-prep programs.
  • Demonstrated relationships with local health care facilities and hiring managers.
  • Experience with data-driven instruction and program evaluation.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages common in LA) a plus.
