Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) to oversee the daily operations of a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Brockton, MA.

The Nursing Home Administrator will provide overall leadership and direction for facility operations while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. This position works closely with clinical and administrative leadership to maintain regulatory compliance, support staff development, strengthen relationships with residents and families, and promote a positive and professional environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on and results-driven leader with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a passion for creating an exceptional experience for residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home and ensure efficient facility performance.

  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to department heads and facility staff.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.

  • Promote high standards of resident care, safety, dignity, and quality of life.

  • Monitor facility performance, quality outcomes, and operational goals.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives that support quality care and operational excellence.

  • Recruit, supervise, coach, and evaluate staff while promoting teamwork and accountability.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and employee engagement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, employees, healthcare providers, and the local community.

  • Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Manage facility budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to optimize resources.

  • Work collaboratively with clinical leadership to support strong patient care and regulatory outcomes.

  • Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Identify operational challenges and develop effective strategies and solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in nursing home administration, long-term care leadership, or a related healthcare management role.

  • Strong knowledge of skilled nursing and long-term care operations.

  • Understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements for nursing homes.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to make sound decisions and effectively manage challenging situations.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary leadership team.

  • Massachusetts Nursing Home Administrator License or eligibility preferred/required as applicable.
