Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit, tasked with managing a mixed acuity unit with responsibilities ranging from intermediate care to telemetry and MedSurg patient management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care for direct admits, ED admits, post Cath Lab, and more.
- Care for patients with MI, NSTEMI, STEMI, CHF, dysrhythmia management, pacemaker issues, and more.
- Serve as backup for stroke unit and handle medical overflow.
- Provide post-operative care for cardiac, vascular, and other specific procedures.
Requirements:
- 1.5 years of general nursing experience and 1 year specific to PCU.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Approved nursing education program completion and South Dakota RN licensure.
- Proficiency in PCU level nursing, cardiac procedural recovery, and relevant pharmacology.
