Inventory Specialist – Billing Department (Excel Focus)
Summary:
The Inventory Specialist in the Billing Department ensures accurate tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of inventory data to support billing operations. This role bridges the gap between inventory control and financial documentation, leveraging advanced Excel skills to maintain data integrity and streamline processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update inventory records to align with billing and accounting systems.
- Reconcile discrepancies between physical stock, system records, and billing reports.
- Prepare detailed inventory and billing reports using advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, conditional formatting, formulas).
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing and cost allocation.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to inventory and billing.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based tracking tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably within a billing or finance environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis tools).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ERP or inventory management software is a plus.
Work Environment:
Office-based role with occasional interaction with warehouse or operations teams.
