Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school in Allentown, PA, is seeking two certified Special Education Teachers for elementary students requiring support in emotional and autistic needs. This contract position is for the uping school year and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with emotional and/or autism spectrum needs.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Collaborate with staff, therapists, and families to support student progress and well-being.
- Maintain pliance with all state and district regulations regarding special education.
- Monitor and document student achievements and challenges to adjust instructional strategies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (emergency certificates are not accepted).
- Experience working with students who have emotional disabilities and autism is preferred.
- Strong munication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
