Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position offers an opportunity to apply expertise in ultrasound imaging within a specialized maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) clinical setting. The role focuses on performing comprehensive obstetric ultrasounds and supporting high-risk pregnancy care through advanced imaging diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed first-trimester scans including nuchal translucency and early anatomy assessments
- Perform second- and third-trimester anatomy surveys, growth and biophysical profiles, and multiple gestation evaluations
- Assess cervical length and evaluate placental conditions including placenta accreta spectrum (PAS)
- Execute Doppler studies of the umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery, and ductus venosus
- Assist in identifying complex maternal and fetal conditions, supporting fetal therapy with imaging (excluding direct procedure guidance)
- Provide compassionate patient care, explain ultrasound procedures clearly while maintaining sensitivity and patient privacy
- Acquire high-quality diagnostic images, take precise measurements, and document findings in EMR/PACS systems
- Ensure all studies comply with accreditation standards such as AIUM and ACR
- Collaborate closely with MFM physicians, radiologists, nurses, genetic counselors, and other healthcare team members in multidisciplinary care planning
Desired Experience:
- Proven proficiency in general ultrasound imaging, specifically obstetric ultrasound
- Experience performing advanced MFM scans and Doppler studies
- Strong clinical knowledge in maternal-fetal medicine or high-risk obstetrics preferred
- Ability to communicate empathetically with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with EMR/PACS documentation and accreditation requirements
