Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Office Assistant to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. This Contract-to-Permanent position involves providing essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of office activities. The ideal candidate will excel in multitasking, attention to detail, and coordination of meetings and events.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the switchboard and front desk during assigned hours, including coverage during breaks or absences.
• Prepare and maintain shared workspaces to ensure they are ready for employees.
• Manage office supplies by monitoring inventory, placing orders, receiving shipments, and organizing stock.
• Coordinate office maintenance needs and oversee custodial services requests.
• Schedule and organize departmental meetings and budget discussions, providing administrative support as needed.
• Collaborate with vendors to manage services such as breakroom equipment maintenance and shredding.
• Assist with planning and executing office events, including tracking expenses and ensuring alignment with budgets.
• Coordinate logistics for events, including setup, teardown, catering, and space reservations.
• Support suite operations for organizational events, including distributing tickets, parking passes, and arranging catering.
• Occasionally adjust work hours to accommodate early or late event operations.• Proven experience in receptionist duties such as answering multi-line phone systems and handling inquiries professionally.
• Familiarity with scanning documents and managing clerical tasks efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain and order office supplies as needed.
• Proficiency in operating standard office equipment and basic office administration.
• Experience in coordinating events, including setup, cleanup, and vendor management.
• Ability to manage conference room reservations and guest logistics effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility to occasionally adjust work hours for event support.
