Location: Starke, Florida
Starting Salary: $16 per hour - FT
Position Summary:The Office Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Range Maintenance Department to ensure efficient daily operations. This position assists with recordkeeping, data entry, scheduling, document preparation, and communication between maintenance staff, supervisors, and administrative personnel. The Office Clerk plays a key role in maintaining accurate documentation related to maintenance activities, work orders, and compliance requirements associated with military training ranges. This is a FOUR (4) DAY A WEEK JOB, 10 HOURS A DAY, 40 HOURS PER WEEK - FULL TIME POSITION. You can enjoy a 3 day weekend, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, copying, and organizing departmental records.
  • Enter and maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and operational data in departmental databases.
  • Assist in preparing reports, correspondence, and spreadsheets related to range maintenance operations.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and internal communications.
  • Maintain inventory records for office supplies and maintenance documentation.
  • Coordinate scheduling for meetings, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Support supervisors with administrative tasks, including preparing forms, purchase requests, and tracking documentation.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping in accordance with state and departmental policies.
  • Assist with compliance documentation related to environmental and operational requirements for military training ranges.
  • Provide general administrative support to range maintenance staff as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of clerical, administrative, or office support experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an office setting.
  • Familiarity with recordkeeping or work order tracking systems.
  • Experience working in a team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain confidential records and information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of office procedures and administrative practices.
  • Ability to interact professionally with staff, supervisors, and military personnel.

Work Environment:Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional interaction with field personnel supporting training range operations. The position may require periodic filing, lifting office materials, and extended periods of computer work.
