Position Summary Detox Technician
This is a nonmedical, overnight role that combines housekeeping, facility support, and basic patient interaction in our detox program. You keep our small facility clean, stocked, and safe while offering practical support (snacks, shower items, gentle checkins) so nurses and providers can focus on clinical care.

What youll do
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, and common areas; sweep/mop floors; empty trash; manage laundry; restock supplies and snacks following nightly checklists.
- Assist patients with nonmedical needs: snacks, drinks, shower items, blankets, and general requests; offer a calm, respectful presence.
- Answer phones, complete basic screening/intake questions using clear guidelines, and route calls to the appropriate staff.
- Support clinical staff as requested (for example, 1:1 observation, checking on patients in bathrooms/showers, waiting for and directing Emergency Medical Services).
Youre a great fit if you:
- Have experience in housekeeping, janitorial, hotel, residential, shelter, or caregiving roles (healthcare setting preferred but not required).
- Are comfortable being around individuals in withdrawal/early recovery (training provided; this is not a handson clinical role).
- Are reliable, stay awake and engaged through 12hour nights, and like working from clear checklists.
- Communicate calmly, hold boundaries respectfully, and know when to involve other team members.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks throughout a 12hour night shift
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain; employerpaid)
- Ability to pass applicable background checks
Schedule:
- Friday and Saturday
- 12 hour shifts (7 pm to 7:30 am)
- Option to pick up additional shifts!
Compensation:
$24 ($21/hr base pay PLUS $3 weekend differential--applies to all Friday and Saturday Shifts)
Benefits:
- PTO (earned on an accrual basis with increases at one year and every 5 years thereafter)
- Sick Time (40 hours annually)
- Time and a Half Holiday Pay
- 401k and up to 3% match after 3 months of employment
- Up to $400 per year for approved CEUs
- All required licensure/certification costs for position paid for by the company
**Position is contingent on passing an OHA Background check and successful completion of a urine analysis (UA) after accepting job offer**
