Job Title: Podiatry & Wound Care
Full time permanent position
Location: Fuquay Varina, Cary, and Benson
Job Summary:
The Podiatry & Wound Care Doctor is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing foot, ankle, and lower-extremity conditions, with a strong focus on acute and chronic wound care. The role involves working with patients who have diabetes, vascular disease, pressure injuries, surgical wounds, and other complex conditions requiring specialized wound management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat podiatric conditions, including foot, ankle, and lower-leg disorders
- Evaluate, manage, and treat acute and chronic wounds (diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, venous/arterial ulcers, surgical wounds, etc.)
- Perform wound debridement, dressing selection, and advanced wound care procedures
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
- Monitor wound healing progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, foot care, and prevention strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, surgeons, primary care providers, and specialists
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in medical records
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Wound Care Certified
- Podiatry & Wound Care needs
- Large patient flow
- Travel and practice at each location (Fuquay Varina, Cary, and Benson & (new location)
- Strong communication and ability to work well with a small team (professionally)
- Standard foot care, nails, skin, functionality
