Job Title: Travel LPN / LVN – Rehabilitation / Med-Surg
Location: Syracuse, New York
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a travel assignment in a hospital setting. The role may involve working across rehabilitation, med/surg, or emergency department units based on prior experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an acute care environment and able to function with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in acute care, rehabilitation, or med/surg settings
• Assist with patient assessments, treatments, and daily care activities
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient progress
• Assist physicians and nursing staff during exams and procedures
• Administer medications and injections as directed
• Maintain clean and organized clinical and exam areas
• Support administrative functions including scheduling and documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation
• Observe and report patient responses to treatments

Schedule & Work Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Unit placement based on experience
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required

Requirements:

• Current New York State LPN license
• CPR certification (current or eligible for recertification)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Prior inpatient or acute care experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with EMR systems preferred
