Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
Location: Elmhurst, NY 11373
Schedule: 3 days/week | 11.5-hour shifts
Hours: 34.5 hours/week
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, recent Med/Surg experience, and the ability to care for a diverse patient population, including pre- and post-operative patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct bedside care to medical and post-surgical patients
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions
- Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion/therapy, catheter placement, and wound care/dressing changes
- Monitor vital signs and patient condition, reporting changes promptly
- Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on patient care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Adhere to all nursing standards, protocols, and infection control guidelines
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
- Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
- AHA BLS certification
- AHA ACLS certification (required for Queens location)
