Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead technical work.

  • Perform all aspects of design (grading, drainage, water, sewer, hydrology, erosion control, etc.) with an emphasis on technical and project delivery excellence.

  • Prepare technical reports, concept designs, construction specifications, construction drawings, bidding documents, and permit applications for approvals.

  • Participate in value engineering and prepare construction cost estimates.

  • Participate in both private and public sector clients/projects.

  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

  • Participate in client management, business development, and proposal preparation.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Sound knowledge of industry practice and demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of all phases of engineering document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills with attention to detail; time management skills.

  • Direct experience in client management and business development is an asset.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D, Hydrology / Hydraulic design software will be an asset. Experience and working knowledge in BlueBeam Revu, preferred.

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections, business development activities, etc. Travel for multiple days (overnight travel) on occasion for meetings and to support project teams in other offices may be required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota or ability to obtain within 1 year.

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive civil engineering design experience.
