Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a full-time Pharmacist to serve as a floating pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting located in Vestal, NY. This direct-hire position offers a consistent schedule with a blend of weekday and weekend hours totaling 36 hours per week.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to manage inventories by tracking weekly sales, ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand, and maximizing profitability.
- Prepare and dispense medications by weighing, measuring, mixing drugs and other medical compounds, and filling prescriptions accurately.
- Provide counsel to customers on medication usage and over-the-counter options, maintaining effective communication with healthcare and insurance professionals.
- Administer patient immunizations regularly as part of the pharmacy services.
- In the absence of the pharmacy manager, oversee pharmacy staff scheduling, performance management, and work assignments to ensure operational efficiency and meet business goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
- Current and active pharmacist license in the state of New York.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and assume leadership responsibilities when needed.
