Job Classification: Clerical

Line of Authority: Reports to Director of Patient Care

Essential Functions:

  • Assigns Agency staff to clients as directed by the licensed professional staff, care plan and service request
  • Reports any scheduling changes and/or client concerns to supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary
  • Minimizes substitution of employees and maximizes permanent coverage.
  • Notifies patient/facility partners/IDT of scheduling changes
  • Demonstrates strong computer efficiency and typing skills
  • Assists with the organization and preparation of office projects.
  • Prepare reports accurately and timely.
  • Plans and organizes work effectively and efficiently
  • Demonstrates effective problem solving skills
  • Demonstrates dependability
  • Shares "on-call" phone rotation during holidays

Requirements of Qualified Candidates

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with scheduling in the medical field; hospice or homecare scheduling experience preferred
  • Minimum of one year data entry, word processing and/or medical records maintenance experience in a medical customer service environment generally required
  • Attention to detail, along with excellent organizational, oral and written communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Fields all calls related to the assigned team patients and routes to appropriate care team members
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
