Exciting news! We're looking for a Refrigeration Assembly Group Leader to join our Refrigeration Department. Working Schedule: 6:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday with some Friday OT required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


· Performs preventative maintenance on department equipment to ensure optimal performance.


· Monitors and updates Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to track progress and identify areas of improvement.

· Creates and maintains detailed written instructions for standard work processes


· Reviews engineering schematics/drawings for accuracy.

· Facilitates daily group meetings.

· Determines daily work assignments to ensure efficient workflow.

· Enforces the use of standardized work procedures and work standards.

· Responds to workstation Andon, solves immediate problems.

· Inspects finished assemblies and sends to rework/repair if necessary.

· Drives continuous improvement by addressing first time quality (FTQ) issues and preventing recurrence.

· Verifies labor tracking for team members and processes timecards.

· Checks Kanban parts and verifies that tags are turned in.

· Enforces safety rules and company policies.

· Updates and maintains the training matrix.

· Submits requests to Purchasing for manufacturing supplies and tools needed for the department.

· Determines the labor required for the department and participates in the interview process.

· Conducts employee performance reviews, administers disciplinary action when necessary, and approves employee vacation requests.

· Regular physical attendance is required.

· Other duties as assigned.

Education

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

· Some college education is preferred.


Skills and Experience

· Must have proven experience leading and managing teams.

· Basic computer skills required, must be able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email).
