Microbiology Lab Technician Compensation

The pay for this position is $39.20 per hour.
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Microbiology Lab Technician Highlights

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
The required availability for this position is Hybrid Shift: 12 PM – 8 PM, some weekends may be required.

Microbiology Lab Technician Responsibilities

Perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing (USP, ASTM, ISO, CLSI) for anti-infective, antiseptic, or disinfectant efficacy, including time-kill assay, MIC/MBC, sterility testing, microbial limits, and bioburden.
Execute testing following SOPs in a BSL-2 laboratory.
Assist in the qualification, validation, and calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Maintain laboratory notebooks using Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and support GLP compliance.
Work proactively and independently with minimal supervision to complete projects.

Microbiology Lab Technician Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or Chemistry.
Minimum 1+ year experience in a microbiology or related laboratory setting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
Experience in a BSL-2 laboratory (academic or industrial).
High School Diploma or GED.
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.

Microbiology Lab Technician Preferred Qualifications

Experience performing microbiology testing in a GxP laboratory.
Familiarity with LIMS data management software.
