We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal position based in Mechanicville, NY (Albany area). This role offers daily home time, steady miles, and mostly no-touch freight.

Position Details:

• Location: Mechanicville, NY (12118)
• Operating area: 250-mile radius (local routes)
• Home time: Daily
• Schedule options: Thursday–Monday or Friday–Tuesday
• Start times: 6:00 PM or 9:00 PM
• Shift length: Approximately 12 hours
• Average miles/week: 1,800

Pay & Compensation:

• $0.50 – $0.56 CPM
• Average annual pay: $80,000 – $100,000
• Drop & hook: $40 per load (majority of freight)
• Live load/unload: $65 per load
• Hazmat pay: $20 per load
• Detention pay: $20–$25/hour after 1 hour
• Safety training pay: $20/hour
• Training pay: $200/day
• Holiday pay: $210/day

Freight & Equipment:

• Intermodal container freight
• Mostly no-touch freight
• Day cab tractors
• 53' box trailers
• Slip-seat operation
• Truck must remain at ramp during time off
• Daily dispatch from ramp
• No NYC routes

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• Must meet DOT and safety requirements
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days (reimbursed)
