Encantada Counseling Services is seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed mental health professionals to join our team as Therapeutic Supervised Visitation (TSV) Providers.
This role supports families navigating court-ordered parenting time by facilitating safe, structured, and clinically guided interactions between parents and children. The ideal candidate demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and firm boundaries to ensure a supportive, neutral, and child-centered visitation experience.
Focuses on observing and supporting family interactions.
Reports or summaries are often shared with the court, attorneys, or other professionals.
The TSV provider is a neutral third party, not a treating therapist.
Overview:
A Therapeutic Supervised Visitation (TSV) Provider facilitates structured parent–child contact within a therapeutic framework to support safe reunification, promote healthy attachment, and reduce family conflict. The TSV Provider ensures emotional and physical safety while using clinical interventions to help families strengthen relationships and address barriers to reunification.
Minimum Qualifications

Education and Licensure
-
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.

Active Arizona behavioral health license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist) in good standing with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE).

Experience

Minimum two (2) years post-graduate experience providing therapeutic or clinical services to children and families.

Prior experience in child welfare, court-ordered family services, or trauma-informed practicepreferred.

Experience working with high-conflict families, domestic violence, substance abuse, or trauma-related disorders is strongly desired.

Comprehensive understanding of:

Child development and attachment theory

Family systems and trauma-informed care

Court-ordered supervised visitation standards (SVN, DCS, and Pima County Superior Court)

Ability to remain neutral, nonjudgmental, and composed in high-conflict or emotionally charged situations.

Strong clinical judgment, safety assessment, and de-escalation skills.

Excellent documentation, observation, and report writing abilities consistent with court and DCS expectations.

Certifications & Clearances

Current Fingerprint Clearance Card (Level 1, per A.R.S. §41-1758.07).

CPR and First Aid certification.

Mandated Reporter training (A.R.S. §13-3620 compliance).

Professional Expectations

Adheres to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality standards.

Participates in ongoing supervision and continuing education related to trauma, family systems, and ethical practice.

Maintains appropriate professional boundaries with clients, families, and referral sources.

Collaborates effectively with case managers, attorneys, court representatives, and DCS specialists.
