Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Operate advanced MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while delivering compassionate patient care in a Level 1 trauma center environment. This contract opportunity is based in Washington, Illinois, offering local placements within a 50-mile radius.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures using GE Signa Artist (1.5T) and GE Signa Architect (3T) machines.
- Navigate EMR (EPIC) and PACS (McKesson) systems efficiently.
- Position patients properly and provide clear procedure information.
- Apply proper imaging protocols across Neuro, Body, and MSK exams.
- Ensure scanning safety, including implants like pacemakers, stimulators, and aneurysm clips.
- Comply with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Adapt to department scheduling needs, covering first (7am7:30pm) or third shift (7pm7:30am) without on-call or weekend obligations.
- Perform duties within the medical center, supporting a large, 650+ bed hospital with five MRI magnets.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARMRIT certification.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to work independently with a focus on patient-centered care.
