Job Description

Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Operate advanced MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while delivering compassionate patient care in a Level 1 trauma center environment. This contract opportunity is based in Washington, Illinois, offering local placements within a 50-mile radius.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MRI procedures using GE Signa Artist (1.5T) and GE Signa Architect (3T) machines.
Navigate EMR (EPIC) and PACS (McKesson) systems efficiently.
Position patients properly and provide clear procedure information.
Apply proper imaging protocols across Neuro, Body, and MSK exams.
Ensure scanning safety, including implants like pacemakers, stimulators, and aneurysm clips.
Comply with all regulatory and safety standards.
Adapt to department scheduling needs, covering first (7am7:30pm) or third shift (7pm7:30am) without on-call or weekend obligations.
Perform duties within the medical center, supporting a large, 650+ bed hospital with five MRI magnets.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience.
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARMRIT certification.
BLS certification required.
Ability to work independently with a focus on patient-centered care.
