Our client is a global investments company that provides investment management and investment services to institutions, corporations, and individual investors worldwide. The organization supports the full investment lifecycle and serves as a single point of contact for clients seeking to create, trade, hold, manage, service, distribute, or restructure investments.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $80.00 to $98.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Lead strategy and execution for modernization of legacy test scripts, frameworks, and tool chains.
• Define and govern standards, metrics, policies, procedures, and templates across platforms with platform-specific adaptations.
• Drive the transition from a centralized QE model to a federated, product-oriented structure.
• Embed quality engineering practices within product teams and promote a full stack engineering model.
• Establish and lead specialist work streams for automation, test data management, tool chain, metrics, and non-functional testing.
• Provide sprint-based expert support to platform teams, enabling targeted uplift without long-term dependency.
• Integrate AI agents for quality tasks including test strategy generation and prompt engineering.
• Implement risk-based testing focused on high-probability defect areas and critical user journeys.
• Define and track qualitative and quantitative metrics for automation maturity, performance, and platform behavior.
• Select, implement, and evolve tooling and methodologies aligned with engineering and platform needs.
• Mentor engineers across teams to ensure cross-training and lifecycle capability.

Experience Requirements:

• 10 to 15 years in QA, QE, or Automation Engineering with evidence of similar leadership roles.
• Hands-on expertise in automation frameworks and modernization of legacy scripts.
• Proficiency with Java and Python for test and tooling development.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD integration for quality automation.
• Background in cloud computing and platform engineering.
• Experience establishing tool chains, governance, and organization-wide standards.
• Demonstrated capability in test data management and non-functional testing domains.
• Experience integrating AI into quality processes, including agents and prompt engineering.
• Proven execution of risk-based, metrics-driven testing strategies.
• Ability to lead specialist work streams and provide short-term, sprint-based expert support.
