This role involves utilizing the nursing process to deliver patient care effectively. The Graduate Nurse Resident is accountable for the care provided to assigned patients and assesses the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other healthcare providers. Coordination of patient care with other departments is essential, along with upholding patient rights and confidentiality. Position Details:Qualifications:

  • Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Experience: Relevant experience may be required based on the specific unit.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
    • Additional certifications may be required based on the specific position or unit, including but not limited to:
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
      • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
      • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
      • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
      • CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
      • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
      • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
      • PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
      • S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)
      • C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
      • Other unit-specific certifications as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • The role necessitates the ability to regularly push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and walking are required throughout each shift.
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat is essential for performing job duties.
