Job Title: Clinical Trainer

Grade:26

Salary: $96,740-$115,377

The Clinical Trainer will provide training and technical assistance for OnTrackNY and OnTrackUSA. OnTrackNY is a statewide initiative designed to provide early intervention services to adolescents and young adults experiencing a newly emerging psychotic disorder. OnTrackUSA provides training and technical assistance to states outside of New York in delivering the OnTrackNY approach to Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC).

OnTrackNY delivers evidence-based practices through a multi-disciplinary, team-based approach. OnTrackNY training focuses on specific interventions designed to support individuals in their pursuit of social, academic and vocational goals. The philosophies of recovery-oriented services, shared decision making, and equity is essential to this model of care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and technical assistance to agency leaders, supervisors, and practitioners on the OnTrackNY model for the Team Leader, Primary Clinician, Supported Employment and Education, and Outreach and Recruitment roles. This training will occur in a variety of formats: face to face regional training sessions, conference calls, on-site consultation visits, on-line meetings, and webinars.
  • Participate in the development of training materials, including manuals, clinical tools, modules, slide presentations, demonstration videos and other products as needed.
  • Other tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree level clinical degree in psychology, social work, or other mental health counseling specialty
  • (1) year of experience providing training within a mental health setting
  • (3) years of expertise in CBT, structured behavioral interventions, motivational interviewing, and family interventions.
  • (3) years of expertise in recovery-oriented, shared decision making, and team-based approaches.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical license strongly preferred but not required.
  • (2) years of experiences with adolescents and young adults experiencing a first episode of psychosis is highly desirable.
  • (2) years of experience with manualized treatment models.
  • At least (3) years of experience as a clinician providing recovery-oriented services to adolescents and young adults living with severe mental illness
