Full-time position, with benefits.
Work begins in January 2026
GENERAL PURPOSE
Performs a variety of tasks related to design, construction and maintenance of the Districts garden facilities. Supports conservation programs.

Supervised by the Landscape Education Administrator

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists with design, build and maintenance of the Districts garden facilities
- Performs landscape maintenance
- Delivers positive, friendly and professional interactions with Garden visitors, answering questions as needed.
- Carries out routine administrative assignments associated with the development and implementation of the Districts conservation programs and projects.
- Assists with community events, educational sessions and group tours
- Maintains equipment and supplies
- Provides backup to other staff in the Conservation division.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year experience in landscaping, customer service, communications, irrigation, or related fields.
OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic office computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
Special Qualifications:
- Preferred valid drivers license for insurability under the Districts vehicle insurance policy
- Must be willing to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to a criminal background check
