Job Description
We are seeking a technical lead for our Pre-Finish Department, where all doors are stained and painted. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee operations for the DeimCo Lineal Spray Line, specializing in finishing high-end millwork products such as trim, stair nose, railing, and other lineal components. A deep understanding of industrial paint and stain is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead operations in the Pre-Finish Department, ensuring high-quality finishes on all products.
- Manage the DeimCo Lineal Spray Line for finishing high-end millwork products.
- Ensure accurate color matching and execute efficient color changeovers to maintain production uptime.
- Conduct quality inspections and maintain documentation for process control.
- Supervise team operations, emphasizing safety and continuous improvement.
- Configure internal spray gun setups for complex, narrow profiles.
- Monitor and manage coatings, including viscosity, mix ratios, and mil thickness for both paint and stain applications.
- Balance line speed with IR/UV oven temperatures to ensure products are cured to perfection.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in color matching and blueprint reading.
- Experience in machine operation and setup.
- Leadership experience as a team or department lead.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and skills in process control.
- Experience in industrial painting and coating operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in production supervision and machine operating.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement processes and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of millwork and the use of hand tools.

Work Environment
Work in a brand new, clean, and organized wood shop environment with working supervisors on the floor. The position operates from 6 am to 2:30 pm and includes a lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
