The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily field operations for telecom construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and client requirements. This role manages crews, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining strong communication with project management and clients.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews and subcontractors

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety, quality, and company standards

Enforce OSHA and company safety policies and conduct regular job site safety meetings

Review prints, scopes of work, and construction plans with crews

Schedule manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project timelines

Monitor productivity, job costs, and crew performance
-
Conduct job site inspections and quality control checks

Resolve field issues and escalate concerns as needed

Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, and documentation

Coordinate with utilities, inspectors, and client representatives
-
Support hiring, onboarding, and training of field personnel

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Required Qualifications
-
3+ years of experience in telecom construction (aerial, underground, or fiber)

Previous leadership experience as a Foreman, Lead, or Supervisor
-
Strong knowledge of telecom construction practices and safety standards

Ability to read and interpret construction prints and fiber/network plans

Experience managing multiple crews and projects

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments

Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
Preferred Qualifications

OSHA 30 Certification
-
DOT compliance knowledge (if managing CDL drivers)

Experience with client reporting systems and project tracking tools

Confined space and traffic control certifications

Fiber splicing or testing knowledge (OTDR, power meter, etc.)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Field-based role with travel between job sites

Outdoor work in all weather conditions

Standing, walking, bending, and lifting as required

Exposure to construction equipment, traffic, and active job sites
