JT Custom Builders is seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. We’re a high-quality residential builder known for custom homes, major additions, and beautiful remodels—and we’re looking for someone who can navigate the estimating and purchasing process from start to finish.

What You’ll Do:

- Create detailed construction estimates from scratch, based on plans, site details, and customer conversations.
- Prepare accurate material and labor takeoffs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and trade partners to obtain and validate pricing.
- Write clear, concise scopes of work that reflect the project vision and protect the company.
- Track and refine pricing templates to improve speed and accuracy over time.
- Send Purchase Orders in advance of need.

What You’ll Bring:
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of residential estimating experience (custom homes, additions, remodels). Some field experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and real-world costs.
- Experience building estimates using Excel, CoConstruct, JobTread, or similar.
- Clear written communication—especially when drafting scope of work descriptions and customer proposals.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple estimates at once.
- Bonus: Experience with selection allowances, trade bid management, or contract formatting.
