Required Skills & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or medical office certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ year of experience in a medical front desk or PSC role.
  • Experience in outpatient clinic setting required.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and patient billing processes.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Epic EMR experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with endocrine-specific workflows (e.g., diabetes education, lab coordination).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
  • Experience with patient scheduling systems and referral management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance, and referral information.
  • Collect copays and outstanding balances.
  • Ensure all necessary forms and consents are completed.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments, lab work, and referrals at check-out.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff to support patient flow.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
  • Answer phones, respond to messages, and assist with patient inquiries.
  • Support front desk operations including scanning, faxing, and filing.
