Overview

Do Good Crew is seeking an eager, detail-oriented Junior Editor / Production Assistant to support the creation of compelling video content across our growing media platforms. This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who is passionate about storytelling, deeply curious about the craft of production, and ready to roll up their sleeves in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience - or strong internship, freelance, or portfolio work - in video editing or digital content production, with a genuine passion for stories about human kindness, connection, and impact.


What This Person Will Do

1. Video Editing

- Assist in editing short-form and long-form video content for social media, YouTube, and the podcast

- Follow established brand templates and Do Good's visual style guidelines

- Export, format and post finished content for multiple platforms and aspect ratios

2. Content Production Support

- Assist senior producers during production days, including pre-shoot prep and on-set support

- Concept, shoot and edit original content

- Help prepare run-of-show documents, shot lists, and scripting materials

- Log footage, label project files, and maintain organized media asset libraries

3. Post-Production & Asset Management

- Maintain clean, consistent file structures across active and archived projects

- Assist with closed captioning, transcriptions, and metadata entry

- Support quality review of all content prior to final delivery

4. Creative Collaboration

- Bring energy and fresh ideas to team brainstorms and creative conversations

- Stay current on social media formats, trends, and what's resonating with digital audiences

- Be a proactive contributor - someone who asks great questions and is always learning

Ideal Background

  • 1–2 years of experience in video editing, digital content, or media production (internships, freelance, student work, and personal projects are welcomed)
  • Expertise in at least one editing platform: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Capcut or comparable software
  • Familiarity with design platforms like Canva, Adobe, Figma
  • Familiarity with short-form video formats for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
  • Strong organizational habits and sharp attention to detail
  • A portfolio or reel demonstrating editing ability is required

Compensation

$20-$22 hr (overtime eligibile)
